Who and how much: residents with a council kerbside service get one free at-call collection each financial year (1 July to 30 June), up to 3 cubic metres. Extra collections are available at your own cost (the price is shown when you book).
Limits: timber no longer than 1.5 m (at most 10 pieces); at most 2 mattresses; carpet rolled in rolls no longer than 1.5 m.
Not collected: tyres and car batteries, engine oil and engine blocks, garden waste, household waste and recyclables, building and renovation materials, asbestos and other hazardous waste, gas cylinders, chemicals, paint and pesticides. Full list.
Timing: when you book you are given a collection week; items go out by 6 am on the Monday of that week, no earlier than the Saturday before. Collections are limited in December.
