- Townhouses and apartments with shared bins: your strata or building manager books the bulky waste collection for you and tells you where to leave the items.
- Boxes and bottles: the recycling drop-off centre on Jolly Street, Belconnen, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for glass, metal and rigid plastic containers and flattened cardboard. Soft plastics, polystyrene and household rubbish aren’t accepted there.
- Garden clippings: the West Belconnen Green Waste Facility has moved for now; its new entrance is about 1 kilometre north of the old one on Parkwood Road.
- Household rubbish: the Mitchell Resource Management Centre on Flemington Road opens 7:30 am to 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day). Fees apply for household rubbish.
