Moving day in Hawthorn: parking, skips and unwanted furniture
Hawthorn is in the area of the City of Boroondara. Here’s what it publishes about moving day.
- Boroondara doesn’t publish a moving-day parking permit, and its tradesperson permit excludes heavy or long vehicles.
- Only registered skip companies can apply for a skip permit on a road or Council land. Shipping containers on Council land need a road and footpath occupancy permit.
- Council lists local op shops, free collection of donated goods by Sacred Heart Mission’s op shops, and the Boroondara Hard Rubbish Rehome group.
