- Take the pet bed, food bowls, scratching post and litter tray with you before the cleaners start, so the floor and skirting boards underneath get done too.
- Write in the booking form’s instructions field where your pet slept, ate and spent most of its time.

The exit condition report and your bond
Consumer Affairs Victoria explains that when the agreement ends, the rental provider or agent completes the exit section of the original condition report within 10 days, and the renter must be there or have had a reasonable chance to attend. Carnegie tap water and the bathroom on moving day

In Victoria, renters must leave the property reasonably clean, with fair wear and tear excepted, and the condition report from the start of the agreement is the reference. Since 29 March 2021 a rental provider can only require professional cleaning at the end of the tenancy if the property was professionally cleaned immediately before you moved in and you were told, or if it is needed to return the property to its condition at the start, allowing for fair wear and tear.
